Hi, I’m Erik.
I’m a surf photographer and videographer based in Corralejo, on the north of Fuerteventura. I’ve spent years on these beaches with a long lens, documenting the moments where ocean, board and body become one.
From the heavy reefs of the North Shore to golden-hour sessions in El Cotillo, I follow the swell around the island. When it’s pumping, I’m on the beach with the camera.
That’s why I know what you want from your photos. Not a pose. The wave you’ll talk about for years.
My style
Natural, honest, no filters on the moment
Natural light
Sunrise, midday glare or golden hour. I work with the light the island gives us and use it to tell the story of the session.
Minimal editing
Colour and contrast, nothing more. The water stays the colour it was and the wave stays the size it was.
No forced poses
You surf, I wait. The best surf photography doesn’t need to be invented. It just needs to be caught.
Who I shoot
Pros and sponsored riders, weekend warriors, travellers, first-timers on their first green wave, surf schools and surf camps, and contests across the island.
In the bag
Fujifilm X-T4 and a long zoom, so I can follow you from the beach or the rocks without getting in your way.
